AwayList

Privacy

Last updated October 31, 2026.

AwayList is made by Daniel Hotyanov. It doesn't collect, sell, or share your data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no servers of its own.

Reminders

AwayList reads, creates, edits, and deletes your Apple Reminders on your device, only after you give it access. Your tasks stay in Apple Reminders. AwayList doesn't copy them anywhere else.

iCloud

Your AwayList settings (such as your Away tag and included lists) and your Queue (which tasks are queued, and in what order) sync between your devices through your own iCloud account. This data lives in your private iCloud storage. The developer can't see it.

Notifications and badges

If you turn on the app icon badge, AwayList asks for permission to show it. The count is worked out on your device.

Deleting your data

Deleting AwayList removes its data from your device. You can remove its iCloud data in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage. Your reminders stay in Apple Reminders unless you delete them there.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
